The Sky is no limit for this up and coming actor from New York City, Joe Suba. Joe is making his mark on film already establishing himself as a leading man. He is headed on a path to success and being embraced by his peers.
Joe Suba was born and raised in Harlem New York. He did not start out to be an actor; Joe had his mind set on studying the more physical crafts like Martial Arts, Boxing and Basketball. His first shoot at an acting career came from Joe booking a modeling assignment due to his physical stature. People began to recognizing his handsome stature and sharpened physique as a model. Joe began to realize he had a natural talent that could be seen in front of the camera. Being a great Boxer and Martial arts expert truly assisted Joe in becoming a true action Icon of the future.
Joe made his first film debut in Rage and Discipline (Directed by Brian Clyde) as the ruthless drug dealer named Jermaine in 2004. Hailed as a gritty urban drama set on the streets of New York, this movie depicts how decisions are made by young men and women that can make you or break you. Joe was set to play another character in this movie but after reading the script vied for the lead role of Jermaine. He brought to life a character that you love to hate.
He then followed up with these projects with a Horror movie called Rapturious (Directed by Kamal Ahmed formerly of the Jerky Boys), The Hunt For Eagle One 2006 (Directed by Brian Clyde), he stars as a marine, Theresa Randle (Bad Boys), whos been captured by the enemy. War fans will appreciate the battle scenes and graphics of this movie and its sequel, Crash Point (Directed Henry Crum).
Joe Suba has been featured in a new full length film release this year (April 2009) named Opium War. Joe Suba plays one of two American soldiers who find themselves wounded in the Afghanistan desert and who stumble across a Russian tank, which has a group of Afghanis living inside. Although the movie has dark comedic satire, it is still a moving story about people in real life situations and how they co-exist. Golden Globe winner and filmmaker Siddiq Barmark produced this movie in 2008 co-starring as leads, Joe Suba and Peter Bussian. Director Siddiq Barmark is mostly well known for his film Osama released in 2003. His internationally renowned films have helped make Joe Suba a rising star in the film industry across the continents.
In Joes next movie, Breaking Point, filmed in 2009, soon to be released, (Directed by Jeff Celentano) he is playing opposite talented actors like Tom Berenger (Platoon), Armand Asante (American Gangsta), Busta Rhymes, Sticky Fingaz and Mums da Schemer (Poet from OZ). Joe's scenes have a memorable vibe in the film although they are short lived scenes you are forced by his acting presence to remember him.
Joes most recent roles as leading man have kept him in acting and serving up some serious stunt work the jungles of Manila. Recently in Black Market Love a film by new Director Beau Ballinger as Jamis the nemesis to the films main character; also most recently in the screen adaptation of the My Lai Four, a film by Italian Director Gianni Paolucci.
Joe Suba will tell you his most tremendous and challenging real life role is as Father to his two sons 10 and 12 years old. Keeping up with School and Basketball championships, Joe keeps his young men focused and excited about all the opportunities life can offer.
